I have asked the same question for forty years, to thousands of people, and saved everything that led to the answers. Recorded conversations with Native American chiefs, Buddhist monks, Western business leaders and politicians, representatives of indigenous peoples in the Himalayas. Documents, films, interviews, letters, minutes, documents, photographs.
The material will be published here gradually. Not as an illustration to the book, but as material to test it against.
